This connected to me in all the right ways. I love Alex and her flaws. Love the way that magic is portrayed in this world. A currency and power. More limited in its magical applications but that somehow made it more real? Would like bigger and more powerful magic but Hopefully future books will get into that. Also love darlington. What a dreamboat.  Can't wait to see him again. Also excited that magic is limited to just this world but also the layers of the veil and hell. Alex will do well in hell.  She's such a badass. Connected to her in so many ways, feeling lost, trapped, latinaesque, no father, Ladino. Book was the type where I couldn't stop thinking about it. I didn't want to leave this world or Alex. Can't wait for the next. Also a longer read which was a nice change of pace but still really engaging with good pacing.
