Crow by A. Zavarelli

4.0

This was the first book by A Zavarelli that I had the pleasure of reading and the book that started my love affair with her stories. Her writing style is clear and concise, easy to follow; while her stories are deep, dark and twisted with a sweet center. This is a mafia story at its finest.

Watching Crow and Mack circle around each other, both deeply suspicious of the other, was such a joy. Crow's position within the Irish mob meant that he needed to always be in the position to make the hard decisions and look out for his crew. Mack's upbringing and loyalty to her missing friend was displayed in her tough, show-no-weakness personality and willingness to do whatever it takes to find Talia. So when Mack enters Crow's life, it shakes up his world. Together though, Crow and Mack were just what the other needed.
