I loved learning a little more about Helen Keller. The writing is easy to get into, and I loved getting a sense of how she experienced the world. I do wish she had explained more about the process of lip reading and hand spelling. She does touch on it briefly later on, but it would have been helpful to have that context earlier in the book. Also, while I enjoyed how positive the tone was, I personally would have enjoyed learning about the difficulties her disabilities caused. The only time you get even a hint of that is during her college exams. I understand she wrote this when she was 22, so it only goes to that point, but I would have loved the story of her life to cover more of her life into adulthood.
