Packed with action and full of tension, this book had me feeling all of the feelings. Upper YA due to slightly adult themes.
Kenna was a wonderful protagonist who was witty and endearing and I really felt for her as she navigates the events of this book. The characters are morally grey and the mystery around the motives of some of them was intriguing!
This book had magical world building, complex morally grey characters, betrayal, romance and (what I guess will be multiple love interests), enemies to lovers, knife to throat moments and so much TENSION. This is a great series for fantasy lovers, especially those wanting to read more mature YA or adult fantasy fiction.
