Oh, Bruce. You get mean and ridiculous when a Robin dies.

The scene in the burger joint gets 4 Stars because I love the former Robin relationships. But the rest of it was pretty boring.

There was a lot of missing bits that could have made this volume much better. Like Dick, Jason, and Damian going after Bane (and how they reacted to waking up in the Fortress of Solitude) or some build up around the big thing with Catwoman (or some resolution to the big thing with Catwoman). Instead, we get long drawn out poetry recitation and lots of “I am Bane!” “I am Batman!”

It felt like this volume was trying to capitalize on emotion that had been building over the course of the series, but the emotion hasn’t been there... so it was pretty much a fail.
