What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful by Marshall Goldsmith

3.0

I found this very useful, even though I'm not in a traditional management position. Because I'm autistic, I had to learn a lot of social and conversational norms from scratch because they didn't intuitively make sense to me. This book goes into more details about those conventions, not only what to do but WHY, in a way that made sense to me. I also appreciated the general "you may not be noticing this" theme throughout the book, because I think uncovering our personal blind spots is useful.

I can also see how this book wouldn't be very useful to people that already have great social skills! Also wow, there are a lot of stories/analogies about golf.
