This was pretty awful. It took 50% of the book for the plot to really start, then 65% before it picked up. 70% before the murder - so don't expect a whodunit island mystery - and at around 83% it starts to finally get interesting, until the dumbest ending the author had available happens and you wish you DNF'd.

The characters also suffer from the author's inability to make them flawed yet likable, by just making them flawed AND unlikable, especially the pov character. I enjoyed two of the author's other novels, but this was a big stinker.
