“I thought I could dig a fire line to keep us from going up in flames, but I can’t. I’d burn it all down for you.”
Fire Line by @authormaggiegates is now available, and trust me when I say you need to read this book ASAP 🔥
Lennon & CJ BLEW MY MIND. I knew it was going to be good, but I was not expecting to feel the way I did while reading this book.
Maggie delivered all the feels. Within the first two chapters I knew this one was going to destroy me and be an easy 5 stars.
Lennon’s backstory is heartbreaking. She hasn’t had it easy, and it’s completely unfair. She’s so hesitant to trust because of it, and watching her growth as the family slowly works to earn her trust is beautiful.
CJ is so angry in the beginning. Life on the ranch isn’t how it used to be, and watching the land he loves change hasn’t been easy.
These two are both so incredibly stubborn and prideful, they clash with each other constantly, yet somehow still compliment each other perfectly. I loved them so much.
The Griffith family is amazing. I love the way they deliver facts and don’t sugar coat anything, but also show unconditional love and support. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to this family, and I selfishly hope we will see them again someday 😅.
I don’t know how many highlights I made while reading this book, but I feel pretty confident in saying that it’s my most highlighted book in a long time. Basically I was either crying, laughing, or screaming throughout this entire book.
