ヨコハマ買い出し紀行 1 [Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou 1] by Hitoshi Ashinano

I picked up this series over a year ago and read the first few volumes in just a few days. But I quickly realized that this manga was meant to be read slowly. So, since then, I would sit down and read a handful of chapters only on special occasions - maybe once or twice a month, whenever I felt like I should return to those lush green landscapes. The series carries with it the sense of emptiness that comes from watching grass grow tall and people grow old. Having stuck with this series for so long, the emptiness it conveys of time’s passing hit pretty hard for me. Even with the really bad translation I read, the visual storytelling was able to carry that sense. I love this series so much
