The Five Minute Mistake by Hannah Shield

adventurous medium-paced

4.0

I thought I guessed who the Midnight Slasher is but I was surprised that it wasn't that person at all. This book isn't predictable as I thought it would be and not a lot of books managed to do that for me.

I loved how Nash and Madison are perfect for each other. The sexual tension before they got together was okay but mostly I just want to go in the book and shout “just kiss already!”. It was worth it in the end though and the spicy scenes were so hot! I loved it.

Emma is also such a sweetheart. Her relationship with her dad, Nash, is endearing. Like she even wanted to help take care of him as best as she can and her reason was just heart-melting. I like how she's more than okay when Madison came along.

Another thing I loved is seeing the previous book couple — Holt also played a major role in this book but we see little of Janie. Also, how big their age gap weren't mentioned but acknowledged and that is a plus for me too.

Overall, I had fun reading this book. It has the right amount of romance and action and I can't wait to read the next book!
