Quick, take a shot each time someone says "purity culture", "religious trauma" or "TikTok". You're going to end up dead of you follow this drinking game. I have no idea why I read this in the first place, but it is SO BAD. It's my fault for believing the author on TikTok, of course they're going to hype it up but my god, I'd rather get punched in my left tit. The author took a premise and wrote it in the most boring and anticlimactic way possible. It's plain boring and annoying. "A million kisses in your lifetime" did the whole purity thing and getting over it much MUCH better, and without the family therapy at the end of the book. Was that really necessary?
Also, enemies to lovers? My ass.
I hope one day we can finally accept that "I dislike you but still play flirt with you" is not an enemy.
