I have so many conflicted feelings about this. 1. YAY for MLM gayasians! 2. The corporate fraud and stuff doesn’t get dangerous enough to be interesting. 3. Elvin is such a marshmallow, but I don’t get why Ray falls for him. It seems a bit forced.
Elvin is the best, though. Such a devoted, caring person who does his best to support his family. Ray comes off as more aloof, and I had a hard time getting into his head. He had backstory, but I never felt the lingering effects of his childhood on his adult life. Their relationship is sweet but forced. I don’t see the turning point, and I wanted more. Elvin loved Ray for so long, but Ray fell in love in an instant. Boooo I want more chemistry!
And gosh the corporate fraud stuff. There weren’t any stakes, and even though Elvin worried a million times, I never got why. What would they lose if things go out? And the ending is so lame!
