This is a book for the girlies with a savior complex. In real life you can’t fix him ladies, only he can truly help himself, but in a fictional world yes you can.
I loved this book when it was on Wattpad and I love it published as well. Unfortunately that does mean I compare the two and perhaps it’s my cheesy teenage preferences but I think I will always prefer the Wattpad just a teeny tiny bit more.
I think the changes made to the story were necessary and well done, but I felt like we missed out on some depth that the in depth storytelling of Wattpad allows. I felt that we didn’t get enough of Rosie, the little sister and I would’ve loved having more of the Incitti family interacting with Hadley, like when she goes with them on their weekend away (in the Wattpad version). I also miss April, May, and June! They perhaps got a little too much time in the Watt version (not imo but from a writing standpoint) but that comes with having to write for 3 child characters, so I understand cutting it to one sister, but I definitely miss the connection the sisters made with Hadley. That being said I love this book and always have. I would probably give the Wattpad version a 4.5 but that extra .25 is definitely a nostalgia point.
