The Velveteen Rabbit: Or How Toys Become Real, by Margery Williams Bianco

4.0

A sweet children's story about a boy and his stuffed rabbit. It's a story about the profound effects of being loved.

I never read this story as a child (or I can't remember it), and I'm glad I read it now. Such a sweet message.

“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”
