If the Duke Demands by Anna Harrington

1.75

1.75 stars.  Minor spoilers in my rant ahead.

Well that fell apart. At least for me. It started out 5 stars. I thought there was going to be a marriage of convenience. I was stoked. I was here for it.

But nope. That’s not what happened. As soon as our MMC, Sebastian, realizes it’s long time family friend, FMC Miranda, that he’s been kissing, he just sends her on her way. Should have been my first clue he sucked. Didn’t even offer to do the right thing.

That’s okay. I wasn’t annoyed yet. I was just slightly perturbed but ready for the journey.

And it was a 4 star journey. Until it wasn’t. Sebastian was a complete ass the entire book. He sucked. He couldn’t get over how much better he was than Miranda. He wouldn’t let it go. And the reasoning that was repetitively beat into us was crap. I didn’t buy it. He just sucked and should have done the right thing without some bleh chat with his mom.

I also didn’t like the spot. Seriously skipped most of it because it just got to be too often. But I was definitely done every time he called her rose. Like he was purposely trying to keep her in her place as his little side piece secret. Gross. But don’t worry, that’s going to be their daughter’s name. Blech.
