the idea of this book is something i should love. an arranged/forced mating, hate-to-love with one side secretly in love all along, and werewolves! but unfortunately this book just didn't work for me. i never really connected with any of the characters or the plot. i think it would have benefited from being a bit longer, maybe spending more time letting the characters just exist together instead of constantly having them in situations. i never really got to see the feelings develop and so in the end it just felt too rushed and unbelievable.

overall an enjoyable but forgettable read. will probably read more in the series when i want a quick urban fantasy read.
