I just finished a great beach read! When I first picked it up, I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be a real treat.
The story is told from the perspectives of the employees of The Hotel Nantucket. I'm usually not a big fan of multiple points of view, but I'm glad we had it in this book. It was so much fun to see the story unfold through the eyes of different characters and to get a glimpse into what was happening behind closed doors and their inner thoughts (yes, I’m looking at you Alessandra).
At first, the writing style threw me off because of the information overload and unnecessary comments enclosed in parentheses. I'm not sure if this is common, but I got used to it as I got more invested in the story and the characters. It felt like I was on vacation while reading this book, so I can't wait to check out Elin Hilderbrand’s other works.
