Eros by Carly Spade

5.0

Up until this point, Apollo has been my favorite book from Spade...but Eros came through town and was like "MOVE BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY." all Ludacris style and well...the rest is history! Sorry Apollo, I still love you and wish you and Laurel the best, but Eros and Elani have my heart.

Plot: Fast paced
Characters: Well developed and likable
Steam: Mild
Tropes: Reluctant lovers (one sided)

Summary
Elani Steward run a match making company. Ironically enough, she does not believe in love, but she does believe in science and compatibility. Her program offers their services to clients in hopes to find the compatible suitor. However, when two of her clients cancel her services in the same day, claiming they have found love at a bar, Elani goes to investigate. The Arrows bar is run by a bartender named Erik, whom she notices matching people. In order to get him to stop, they make a bet. If Elani can find her perfect match in 3 months using her own code, Erik will stop. But if she doesn't, Erik gets to rework the code. To this she agrees.

However, Elani soon realizes her code isn't exactly perfect. The men she matches with all have something wrong, until the Scottish hottie arrives. However, even he doesn't give her butterflies like a certain bartender does. Now Elani needs to come to terms with her own prejudices against love or risk losing it all together.

My Thoughts
I LOVED Elani. Out of all Spade's other female characters, she is the one I connected with the most. I love her backstory and her need for reasoning. Eros complimented her so much, he brought out a different side of her, one that was a little more adventurous and carefree.

The kissing scenes in this book are great, but I have to say the bear rug scene took the cake. I'm a sucker for a man with wings, what can I say? The chemistry between these two is pure fire. Did I want an elongated and more detailed sex scene? Duh, but it's because I'm a smutty reader! However, for this type of book and genre, the scene wad absolutely perfect and the right amount of teasing.

Also, who else is excited for Poseidon being the next book?!?!?
