This book, truly a masterpiece. This is my 3rd time reading it and my first time properly reviewing it, but Blake's writing always transports me into whatever world she's imagining. It's intricate and funny while still being beautifully written. The world building isn't extremely potent but she clearly doesn't limit herself to either magic or creatures, which makes for a surprising urban fantasy world. The Atlas Six is dark academia, with characters that are deeply flawed and can be hated as much as loved, which I live for. Even my least favourites characters are great to read about, root for sometimes. It's harder to write a positive review than a negative one, but please if you like words, old libraries, ancients societies and gay people doing magic, please read this trilogy.
