Love this writer and enjoyed this book. We're mutuals on Threads, or at least we were while I was reading this and while I'm writing this review (covering myself here just in case she decides my posts are annoying, which they are). She's great.

What really struck me about the novel was her use of this idea that even if you did have super powers in this situation, those powers wouldn't necessarily save you before being used against you. Great use of storytelling to get across just how horrifying this plot is, even without the supernatural component. This is why she's so good!
