The Witch's Kind by Louisa Morgan
3.0
i really enjoyed louisa morgan's a secret history of witches, and thought i'd feel similarly about this book. unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. this wasn't an objectively bad book, but it had some small quirks that just didn't keep me engaged.
the main characters were fairly well written, but the large cast of random side characters could be hard to follow. also, was emma an alien or a water witch child or what??? they got very weird about what she could actually be towards the end and never really answered the question. also, finding and burying emma's mom without any real second thoughts was somewhat glossed over.
overall, if you're looking for a witchy louisa morgan read, put down this book and grab a secret history of witches.
