If you want a new take on a supernatural, LGBTQ+ cross-cultural romantic adventure, here it is!!

The way each book takes on a new culture is super interesting. In this book, however, it started to feel like the author was trying to do too much. I was really really started to be invested in Rue and Quesbel....just in time for the focus to shift and then to be in the background. I was not expecting Miss Primrose to be front and center, so that threw me off a little bit and made me wish for more of Rue (my new fave). The relationship that developed in this book did not 'develop' so much as just happen. I love a good 'coming of she's moment, but sadly I think there is so much happening, it was hard to really see everything happening to Prim.

NOW please know that I did really like this story. I am always excited to spend more time in this fantastic universe where warecreatures and vampires and unlady like ladies trapezing around the globe take on fabulous adventures and upset high society as they know it.
