The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth

3.0

3 stars. The book was hard for me to get into. I felt it hard to care about the suburban life with your husband and kids when the closest thing I have to children is my one cat...

Once I was about half way through, I was pretty hooked. This was definitely a fiction novel with a hint of mystery. I would not classify this book as a thriller.

The novel follows the life of three mothers that live in the same neighborhood and the struggles that they all have within their own family lives. Isabelle, a single woman with no children moves into the neighborhood and she is there for a very specific reason. She is determined to take back what is hers.

There was a twist in the book that I actually did not see coming which is why I enjoyed this book more but there was so much unnecessary “fluff” that made the book much longer than it needed to be.
