The Ruin by Dervla McTiernan

I enjoyed this solid mystery. Cormac is a good character and I will likely continue the series. This felt very old-school-procedural-detective-type story telling, and I enjoyed it.
The mystery was solid. Not hugely shocking. But not something I knew early on. And even when I started figuring things out, I didn’t get all the details.
Bonus: it’s set in Ireland and I enjoyed the narration for the most part—Maude’s voice was interesting. She was Irish but also Australian. And the accent was an interesting mix. But overall, I thought the narrator did a great job with all the characters.
Recommend.
