I read a lot of queer historical romances and so of course I picked this one up. I really liked the premise and the two main characters, especially Charlie. I also loved the side characters all around. I really felt the queer family made up of friends. Unfortunately, I didn't love the romance. The build up was a little fast for me and I didn't like how the spicy scenes always did a fade to black. It left me a little bereft.
I listened to the audiobook for this one and I liked the narrator, even though some of his character voices got a little goofy.
