The Hero Code: Lessons Learned from Lives Well Lived by William H. McRaven

5.0

A short inspiring book aimed at a wide range of audience, without losing depth. (This is probably more for people 22 and under TBH or someone with no prior military knowledge)

I have read books by former military guys like Jim Mattis and Jocko Willink. Admiral McRaven's The Hero Code is definitely one I'd recommend for all people. This book does a great job of creating a sense of unity for humanity, something I do see a bit lacking from most former military people. Each section is well written and inspiring. It does not shy away from hard subjects.

The US is lucky to have a guy like McRaven. I hope he inspires the next generation.
