The Coaching Hours by Sara Ney

2.0

I give this a solid 2.75-3.00

My biggest thing was that it was written like two halves of two separate stories. Also, I think the plot was a little all over the place. I don't feel like there was enough written about Elliott & Ana. I think the beginning of their relationship (in the first half of the book) started out really well. There was also not enough character development for the supporting characters mainly Ana's parents, & Elliott's family. I feel like the "revenge" plot between Ana, Eric, & Rex was pointless.

This whole story paints Ana with a "green/wet-behind-the-ears" look. I could not STAND how things between her and Rex were going. Especially after how he treated her in the beginning of the story. I was hoping for a bigger redemption for Elliott even though he was actually really nice and had only minor flaws. The plot was a bit cliche. I think the story needed more written between the "pre-pregnancy" and "pregnancy" stages. There is just a really noticeable shift that broke the book up to me honestly. I won't be reading the other books in the series.
