Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

5.0

Such a sweet read, I can tell why it’s a classic. Missed the part that mentioned Matthew and Marilla were siblings at the beginning. Anne is so creative and has such a positive outlook on the world even with her difficult childhood which landed her in an orphanage. She could be so bitter but instead she lets her mind take her where she can’t go. She enjoys the little things as much as the big things. Her imagination is inspiring and I loved the development of the relationships with Marilla and Matthew. I may or may not have cried at the end. Such a cheerfully budding lesbian, I’m glad that Diana feels the same way and that they will continue to live in avonlea together
