Frankenstein: The 1818 Text by Mary Shelley
2.0
So, I was required to read Frankenstein in high school, but didn’t remember much. Recently, my sister and I have read a few books with references to the original Frankenstein story so we decided to read Frankenstein together for our March read. There were so many things about this book that were not enjoyable to me. I knew the writing would be hard for me to get through, so with that in mind, I still tried to enjoy this book. The pages are miserable to read through!! Victor having Elizabeth as a love interest is just plain strange. All of the male characters are feminine. The ending wasn’t satisfying. Suffice to say, I did not enjoy Frankenstein even in the slightest, but I am glad I gave it a fair shot and do not regret reading. Classics are always worth the read.
