A Miracle at Macy's by Lynn Marie Hulsman

1.0

Dafuq? I have so many questions. 1. Who agreed to publish this book? 2. Was the editor fired after its release? 3. Was the author's original storyline about a schizophrenic escaping from an institution and set loose in New York with her delusions? Was the author then advised to write a Christmas story instead, without enough time to do full revisions? I admit wholeheartedly that I am a crazy dog lady, but the main character was a-whole-nother level of crazy dog lady. 4. Has anyone in the history of life ever asked the question, "Would you say we are a couple?" and then gotten engaged ten minutes later? If you have to ask, you might want to wait a bit on the engagement. 5. Why was this not just published as a novella? It probably would have worked much better that way. 6. And finally, the most perplexing question of all... What compelled me to actually finish this book?

Please note, I am not usually this harsh about Christmas stories. I'm mushy like that. So, I apologize to the (shocking number of) people that gave this book 4-5 stars.
