This book reminded me quite a bit of Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. While not necessarily the same storyline, I felt the friendship and grief aspects were similar. This was not the book I thought It could be, but I also went in not looking at the synopsis after having it on my Kobo for quite some time. I enjoyed this book, and it was a quicker read, though not as light as you might think. This story really made me stop and reflect about what I might do in Hannah's situation. Though I have not been there. I found it hard to agree with her actions and choices, but again, in her shoes maybe I would feel different. I did find the story to be flat and that Hannah wasn't as developed and refined as I would have hoped for. It was a book that kept me hooked and entertained though. And I am still pondering my thoughts were I to be in such a situation, so that is something.
Moderate: Death, Infertility, and Grief
Minor: Miscarriage
