The Co-op by Tarah DeWitt, Tarah DeWitt

5.0

I have read soo many marriage of convenience books that after a point every book, every plot starts looking similar and things start getting dull for me. The Co-op was refreshing, something new and I was hooked from page 1.
This book was everything I love reading in a second chance marriage of convenience trope and everything I could relate to. I felt the anxiety and insecurities the protagonist was going through. The feeling of never been enough to a parent, never doing enough, never living up to their expectations hit very close to home.
The frustration, anger and soo much left unsaid between the protagonists and all this tied up with a damaged house they are trying to rebuild and amazing records playing in the background was like the sugar dusting on beignets. Just perfect!✨

PS- Dear Tarah Dewitt, how was I living without you in my life? I’m so excited to read rest of your works
