Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason

5.0

This book made me feel all sorts of emotions. It is packed with realistic depictions and struggles of dealing with mental illness and the difficulty of trying to make sense of oneself. The latter part of this book was the most emotionally powerful, for the ending was impeccably weaved into the established narrative. I picked up this one because I knew it was a popular book, but I didn't expect that it would leave me with both a sense of misery and hope. It's true; this should be included in a list of required reading.
