Need Becky Chambers to A) keep writing books forever and ever and B) stop hurting me like this (keep doing it, actually, I need it)

This novella is yet another example of the gorgeous storytelling and what has become my favorite author's signature style of heartfelt science fiction that makes you think so immensely. I have never thought more about the future of the human race than when I've read a Becky Chambers book.

This one was so unique in its tale, introducing us to lovable characters, an earth we never see, and fantastical planets grounded in science. This was more hard science than any of her other works, with input from her mother, an actual scientist. My edition of this novella had an interview with her mom in it, and it increased how wonderful this was as a read.

The emotions I felt during this read cannot fully be explained, but it was Hope, Grief, Wonder, and many others. I cannot recommend this more.
