Quick Review

If you're going to stick enough content for five books into the first 200 pages of your novel, and if your protagonist has the personality equivalent of a baked potato, you should consider rewriting and attempting a different route.

This is why I'm wary about steampunk. Someone, for the love of Pete, recommend non-vomit-inducing steampunk to me.

Also! Simply adding a metric ton of literary references and other ideas from other authors/creative persons into your book does not A) make your book remotely readable or your story interesting, or B) make you a writer of quality. Try again.
