I've been re-reading the series beginning with Trace and some of these books I don't remember. I think I was so disappointed in Predator and Book of the Dead that I stopped reading.

I enjoyed this one much better than Predator and Book of the Dead as the major characters begin at a level of less misery than previously and end at something one could call happy. At least contented.

The denouement of the case seems far less convoluted--or told in a more comprehensible way--at least because the reader can put some of it together themselves.

I think I'm really reading these for the interpersonal relationships. If someone would just write an article tracing how those evolve through the series, I wouldn't have to read every book.

I also find it amusing how many businesses Lucy just abandons. What happens to them? Does she sell off parts of them? Does she bring her employees with her to the new one?

What happened to Lucy's health issue?
