Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

1.0

Bland, terrible 'heroine' who decides to engage in an abusive relationship with a man-child. Glorifies abusive relationships, and also completely misportrays BSDM relationships. If you want sex scenes with sexy power struggles, read the Kushiel's Avatar trilogy, not this terrible excuse for a book. If you thought that Twilight was rock bottom, that it couldn't get any worse, you were wrong and here is proof. This book is the antithesis of literature, and it only speaks to dumbing down of our culture that books like these are popular. The sex scenes were awkward formulaic scenes that made me bored. Bored! Terrible! Regret reading.
