Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
2.0
Two stars for Sagan and Sagan only because Sagan is hot and i love him. (Yes me and Merit have that in common). This book is further proof of Colleen Hoover’s unhinged mental state.
First of all WHY IS SHE WRITING A SIDE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AN 18 YEAR OLD GUY WITH HIS (STEP) UNCLE ????
idk what kind of drug Coho put in this trash that made me actually consider this a good book for a second (hence why this took me 6 months to read). That was until i critically analysed the book for 1 second.
This book is absolutely unrealistic, dyfunctional families do not resolve just bc of one family meeting and a letter lmfao. Yes the book, and ending especially, was emotional i’ll give it that but it’s clear Colleen Hoover was in a rush to wrap the book up and to write in a happy-go-lucky sickly sweet ending which could’ve worked but was so poorly executed it’s untrue.
