Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

4.0

Wicked is a fae book, which Im not a big fan of fairies but this book surprised me.
This book is full of action, deaths, betrayals, humor, and of course romance. It has every element that I love in a book.

It’s hard to point exactly what I liked about this book.

Ivy is a lovely main character, she is another winner in the character arena. Strong willed and a little snarky. Fierce with that ginger hair...
But it’s absolutely Ren that stole my heart. Ren with his confidence and green eyes and arms and abs and … You know... I dont need to tell you..

Ren,
He is everything, I'm sure everyone liked him, but he is too perfect to be real, lets be honest.
He's got that balance of a dose manly testosterone, sensitivity, and strength. The chemistry between Ivy and Ren is awesome. They are a great couple.

Tink is a Brownie straight out of the Underworld, and he is Ivy’s roommate. And let me tell you, he's my favorite...I laugh so much with him, he's someone you liked to have with you...

“Grabbing a scarf off the chair, I threw it at him.

He caught it, clutching it to his chest as he flew into the air. "You gave Tink a scarf. Tink is free!" He flew out into the hallway like a little cracked-out fairy, screeching, "Tink is freeeeee!"

Ren looked at me. "What the actual f**k?"
I sighed. "He's obsessed with Harry Potter. I'm sorry."

Tink darted back into the room, holding the scarf to his bare chest. "There is no reason to apologize when it comes to Harry Potter."
"You do remember what happened to Dobby, right?" I said.

"S**t." Tink's eyes widened and he dropped the scarf.”

I enjoyed the plot and the pacing of the story. It's a fun, quick read that's perfect for some light reading.

The end, though … While the twist felt obvious to me, I’m still excited to see where Armentrout takes the rest of this series. I can wait to read the next book.

I hope that the second and third book will get better and better. So I can buy it in physical form...

I gave it 4/5 stars
