These two are one of my favorite book couples ever. I love their dynamic, how they let themselves be cared for by the other. I love how Daios doesn’t let his fear for Anya justify caging her, no matter how much he wants to.

This story doesn’t feel as isolated as Mira and Arges’ did and I was glad of that. With these types of series, there’s always the chance the author will rinse and repeat the first story ad nauseum. Which, if you’re a mood reader, is fantastic. No shade.

But this felt more like a continuation on the last story than a whole new book and that played very well with the background arc the author has going.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Gamma fares in the third book and am dying to read Makete’s love story. ❤️
