Jacks back in town. Unfortunately, Kate gets called away for a case, so they aren't going to get to spend the time together they want, but duty calls. This case turns into two and then three. Can she solve it before it turns into four? She's trying to work her magic as fast as she can. Not just to prevent anymore deaths, but also so she can get back to her man. At first it seems to be mob related, but all her possible suspects have alibis. In addition to the crimes, Kate is trying to figure out her feelings towards her man Jake, toss in a little jealousy and she feels like she's losing it. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone, though if you are planning on reading the series as a whole, you will want to start with book one to better understand the characters and their relationships with one another. This is a pretty clean read. No violence, except for a drawn gun at one point. No sexual content, but it is alluded to. It's easy to read. Story moves quickly and smoothly. Great characters. It is written strictly from Kate's POV.
