*sigh* The premise was interesting, I was looking forward to it, and it just... did not deliver.
It made me take a long time to read because at no point was it engaging enough to give you that feeling of "just one more chapter". I could've dnf'ed it if I really wanted to but given that its the first of a series, I was hoping that it would pick up the pace at least to set up the second one. It didn't.

Its sooo sloow. Sure, as the first book we're building up the characters but they're all just meh. Oh, and dont get me started on the relationship between the MC and the "love interest". It just felt so bizarre to me. The age difference is weird, their relationship is weird and toxic; which dont get me wrong, I appreciate a fictional man with some toxicity, but this one just wasn't IT.

I hope it gets better in the other books, but i won't know because i've decided to not read the next ones.

I feel... dissapointed
