“If I must die, let it be with rage setting my teeth and truth bellowing from my mouth. If I am killed, it will be on my own terms.”
I’m a sucker for feminine rage (and Greek mythology). It’s enraging to know that men still get away with SA nowadays with zero consequences most of the time, and that in a lot of cases women are still the ones shamed for it. Unreal. Kirsten did such a great job with this retelling and I truly appreciate it. It’s a message to all women. Take. Back. Your. Power.
“The actual monster is the one who takes and takes from others and never feels guilty. Who delights in the suffering of others. A monster is a man who prioritizes the favor of the gods over what is right and just.”
