this was one of the least cringy and more decently written romance book I’ve read in a bit. however I wished the writing was more atmospheric. it had the potential to be due to the story’s setting but it just wasn’t brought up enough times and integrated in the story well enough in my opinion. also the main characters were kind of annoying to me? like I thought they were just grumpy MCs but as I got further into the book their actions and reactions to things sometimes did not make any sense. I was kinda infuriated by the miscommunication trope because it wasn’t done that well and again did not make sense for them to not discuss the issue with each other but rather just stay quiet and make assumptions about what the other  was feeling. like at their age and as functioning adults you would think they know how to communicate, but apparently not!
