Lately I have been in love with books by Hoover. Her characters are raw and real and show a real representation of people who have trauma in their past. The only reason I give this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish there was more. She skims the surface of these characters traumatic past lives and how complex they are, but I found myself left wanting even more details. I love how with Hoover’s books you can never guess the ending other than knowing it won’t be what you thought was going to happen.
