The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
2.0
This book fell apart so quickly at the end for me. I am going to finish off the series in the hopes that it'll be fully explained in a satisfactory way, but I'm not holding my breath. By the end no one was acting in any reasonable or normal person way. Things were so random and chaotic and just didn't make any sense. Things would happen for no apparent reason and characters would just go along with it. I don't know. I am still hoping for the best.
I was intrigued at the beginning because the movie diverged so much from the second movie in interesting ways (as opposed to the first book where the movie very obviously improved upon the source material). But the end just left me wanting at every level.
