Yes it happened, this book series actually made me cry. While this book is known for being a fun silly cosy mystery it does actually touch on heartfelt emotional parts. This book especially on Stephen and Elizabeth.
It continues to be a fun series to read and while the author has said he plans to return to the series after focusing on another series, I would be fine with the series ending here. It ended in a nice reflective kind of way about aging and how life doesn’t stop.
