Reckless by Cornelia Funke

I don't really know how I feel about this book, it had both it's good points and it's bad points. I'll think I'll start with the bad points so I warp it up with something good.

I think the pacing of this book was too fast, WAY too fast. It was hard to keep up, especially since s couple of chapters would be in the viewpoint of Jacob on his friends, and then one chapter will go straight to someone different then back to Jacob. It confused me a lot but I think if the pacing slowed down then the alternating viewpoints wouldn't be as confusing. I'm still having trouble remembering what happened in some parts because it just went so fast.

However, I loved the fantasy and imagination behind this novel. The idea of a new, different world just behind a mirror sets up a lot of adventure and action, which I loved about this book. There were interesting characters and I absolutely adore the love between Will and Clara, even if it's hinted at a bit of a love triangle when an incident happens between Jacob and Clara.

I still liked this book and will still read a sequel if there is one planned, I just hope that Funke slows it down a bit because it was really fast paced.
