Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster by Svetlana Alexiévich

5.0

This is not a book to be read for fun. This is not enjoyable or entertaining. It is, above all else, important. The multitude of tragedies born of a singular disaster. Real stories, from the lives of real people. Voices from Chernobyl is hard to read; I had to take frequent breaks from it. But it is vital to learn about true horrors in this world.

I believe this should be required reading in schools.
