The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows

3.0

Like a lot of the other reviews say if you’ve read a lot of other YA books then this one is pretty predictable. In a lot of ways this book reminds me of Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. His is a lot better done but it is also for an older crowd so this book is better for younger people considering the lack of politics. I can see who the Black Knife really was from a mile away but I still did enjoy this book. The beginning is kinda slow but once you get in the castle it picks up. Honestly I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get the second book because I was so underwhelmed for a while but I think I will pick it up if I see it in a store.
